Edgerton Exporit Center

A kid's science center was a way awesome way to spend our Saturday afternoon yesterday. Grandpa Mark and Grandma Dianne came to hang out with us for the day so that mommy could go to the eye dr. in the morning and then we all went to the Edgerton Exporit Center together in Aurora. We had never been there and everyone had a ton of fun (although I admit all the flashy lights were a little rough on mommy's dilated eyes! Ick.). We brought the stroller along for Wyatt, not knowing what to expect, but I bet he would have been OK with out it. As long as someone was willing to sit with him and make sure he wasn't going to fall off the raised mats around the Bubble Tubes, I think he would have hung out there all day! He really liked it for the mirrors. What a fun, well made exhibit!

Clayton and Reese had fun too and could have happily stayed even longer to play. I'm sure we didn't even explore or fully explore everything there was to do!

Some other fun things that I did not get any footage or pictures of was a video game system that projected on the floor that kids were able to interact with by running around and stomping on popcorn for example. It rotated through lots of different types of games - one you had to stomp the predators to keep some eggs safe in a nest. It's just a fun way to get the kids moving around. Also, I think Grandpa Mark's favorite was a flight simulator that you could sit in a special chair that gave you the movement and sensation of flying as you controlled a plane with a joy stick and watched the horizon with 3 computer screens

Shadows of Wyatt and Reese from a strobe light flash against a special wall that slowly releases the light, so the shadows take a long time to fade away

Oh, more of the Bubble Tubes, because Wyatt LOVED them (can I get a set?? haha)

The bubbles could be turned off, and the colors changed
