Catch up!

We've been so busy outside I've been neglecting the blog again! I'll have to play catch up!!!

These are from June 16 - just a messy day in the life! They typically play so nicely together and all entertain each other, it's great!

Wyatt loves tummy time propped up on the boppy he can see what's going on.

Happy to see his brothers playing!

These pictures are from a few days later - Wyatt just looked so comfortable lounging on Mommy's lap!

The Circus

Grandma Branz took Clayton and Reese to the circus last Thursday (June 11) at the York City Auditorium. The only animals there were ponies for rides. Clayton loved that, but Reese was scared. When I asked Clayton about it the next morning the most he had to say about it was that the music was too loud and that Reese fell down the seats. (He took a tumble down the bleachers and got a nice little bump on his forehead). He said he wouldn't want to go back again. . .  It sounds like there weren't any other animals or performers or even clowns! Seems odd for a circus. Hopefully when they're older they'll get a chance to go to a better circus they can enjoy.

Camping!

The Branz family went camping for the first time in TWO years last weekend! After our trip to Morrill hall last Friday, we headed out to Conestoga Lake (it's a State Park near Denton, NE) and  pitched our giant tent. Grandpa Mark and Grandma Dianne joined us with their camper and even Aunt Amy spent the night Friday night. We stayed until Sunday morning and the boys did really well. Luckily the pads were all gravel so all the boys needed to entertain themselves was an old coffee can and a dump truck and they spent hours moving gravel around that way.  I don't think it was Wyatt's favorite thing in the world, but he tolerated it OK. He was sure happy to go home though!!

Wyatt's 4 Month Stats

He is a BIG boy! At his appointment last Thursday, June 11 he weighed 15 lbs 8 oz and was 25 1/4 inches long. He flew right up off his growth curve! He's my biggest 4 month old yet! Clayton was 26 inches but only weighed 15 lbs. Reese was a little thing at only 13 lbs 10 oz and 24 inches long.

Here he is last Thursday enjoying a Horsey ride with his brothers, and then trying on Daddy's hat.

He wasn't sure what to think, but he he was holding on for dear life!

Morrill Hall

Friday morning we took the boys to Lincoln to see Morrill Hall (aka the Elephant Museum). A lot of it was over their heads, but I think they enjoyed seeing some of the big fossils and playing in the kids center where there were toy dinosaurs to play with, vials of different scents to smell and a place to "dig" for fossils. Afterwards, we stayed downtown and had breakfast for lunch at the Egg and I. We are ever impressed with Clayton who continues to eat food outside his comfort zone, and had waffles for lunch (with peanut butter and maple syrup on them, yum!) and Reese ate his french toast meal all gone of course.

Using little brushes to unearth some bones in the Kids Center.

Of course they know what this was for and they each had to put a quarter down.

Everyone say "Elephant!"

Wyatt in the Tub

Monday night I took Wyatt out of the bathtub sling and let him sit in the baby bath tub for the firs time. He LOVED it so much. I had been putting the tub up on the bathroom counter to save my back, but he enjoyed kicking and splashing way too much for that to happen anymore. After I got him washed, I set him on a towel and moved the tub into the big tub to let him kick and splash some more. What a happy boy!

His last bath on the counter!

Memorial Day Weekend

Mommy took Clayton, Reese and Wyatt to spend the night at Grandpa Mark and Grandma Dianne's house the Friday night of Memorial Day weekend since Daddy was gone for the State Track Meet.

That night we had a campfire and roasted marshmallows and stayed up way too late! The boys slept in a little bit, but were eager to "work" the next day!

Mommy had to tote Wyatt around like this to make it easier. He loves it! And doesn't he look so cute??

On Monday, Grandpa and Grandma and Aunt Amy came for lunch. The boys were pretty wound up from an eventful weekend with probably not enough sleep. There was some rough housing with grandpa to be had. . . poor Wyatt! haha

Spontaneous Day Trip

Saturday (5.30.15) morning we decided it would be fun to take the whole family to Grand Island to go to Stolley Park and run some errands. It was one of the best decisions we've ever made! We left late morning and got to the park in time for Wyatt to eat while the boys went down a REAL tornado slide. Clayton was afraid at first but when Daddy went up to help him he was OK.
Clayton couldn't smile for the picture because the sun was too bright he said!

There's Reese at the top

Reese at the bottom.
After we played in the park for a while, we went to a family resturant that serves breakfast all day called Tommy's. It was a great little place and Reese he enjoyed his French Toast and Clayton his grilled cheese sandwich. Then the most amazing thing happened. The manager came over and said that the gentlemen in the booth behind us had paid for our meal! He and he son had already left so we couldn't even say thank you! We'll have to be sure to pay it forward some day.

There was a giant rooster outside the restaurant that the boys thought was funny, so we thought some pictures with it would be fun.

After lunch we ran some errands; we got another swing for our swingset (so now we have two) and then Mommy and Daddy needed a new comforter for the bed. All three boys did well with the multiple stops.

We were able to stop at the park again on the way back home. There was an awesome playground and even a train to ride!

Wyatt wasn't sure what to think of the train ride. . . he was holding on for dear life!

The boys were TIRED and THIRSTY when we were done!

What a fun day!
