Walking in Daddy's Shoes

Clayton walks around with one of Darrel's or my shoes on his foot a lot. This is the first time I was able to catch it on video and he actually had both shoes on! He is such a precious little stinker! (Sorry for the terrible camera work, but I was following him on my knees and holding Reese at the same time, and you can hear him fussing at the end).

Reese has been enjoying tummy time so much and seems like he would really like to roll over soon! Here is a really cute picture from 4/25 of him really studying the colorful patterns on his play mat. He is getting so strong!

Children's Museum

There is a Children's Museum in York that is open on Tuesday and Saturday mornings and it just costs $1 to get in! Grandma Ann took Clayton this past Tuesday and he had a blast!

He went shopping in the mini-store:
A cart just his size!

He enjoyed the little puppet house:

In the amount of time it took Grandma to take a couple of pictures he was able to climb on top of the train table:

See? He's climbing up there!
Most of all, he enjoyed sitting in this Clayton-sized truck!
Vroom Vroom!

Smiles and Coos from Reese!

I didn't realize how annoying I sound when talking to a baby until I watched all two minutes of a video that I took of Reese being a happy camper the other day (4/17/12). So sorry about that, but I trimmed it down to just the cutest part of Reese really smiling and showing his budding personality.

Reese's Baptism

Reese was baptized at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on March 18, 2012 at 6 weeks old. Afterwards we had an Open House to give family and friends a chance to meet Reese and see our new house in York. Here are the pictures!

At the Church:

The banner says "God's Blessings! Reese Allan Branz"

Reese is not a decoration, but this is his banner from the church!

Random Picture for the Day

This was in a bunch of pictures that Betsy just sent me (so I have all the baptism pictures now, and really need to work on that post!) This was taken around February 10 I think when Brandon, Betsy and Kolby came to visit just after Reese was born. Too cute!

Easter

Well, last weekend was Easter, Reese's 1st one, and only the 2nd one for Clayton! We celebrated with the Branz family on Saturday afternoon/evening:

Reese was in such a good mood!

Cousin picture! Clayton, Kolby and Reese
On Sunday, we went to church with my parents and sister in Lincoln and went to their house for dinner afterwards. We were joined by my Aunt Karen and Uncle Dave, and their sons, Kaj and Seth. It would have been more fun if Clayton wouldn't have completely refused to take a nap. Despite his lack of sleep he was fairly well behaved, as long as we kept him busy outside, or watching Elmo videos on the iPad! Here are some pictures:
"My 1st Easter"

If only you could have heard Clayton and Aunt Amy's "Concerto for Four Hands" - it was lovely

18 Months Old

My baby is 18 months old today, but I guess he's a toddler and not a baby anymore, huh? At his check up last Thursday he weighed 24 lbs! He is in the full blown tantrum phase - shrieking, throwing himself on the ground and flailing around, "bulldozing" around the living room (crawling on all fours with his head down, while sobbing). However he can be very sweet and compliant when he is in the right mood. He is mostly well behaved, especially when he gets the sleep he needs. Here are some recent pictures:
Happy to play ball with cousin Kolby and Aunt Betsy on Saturday 4/7

Playing with is Easter Bucket from Grandma Dianne

Sporting his cool tie-dye onsie from Grandma Dianne

He learned a new word today - "no." . . . Grandma: "Clayton, try the hotdog" Clayton, shakes his head and says "no"  . . . Mommy asks: "Clayton, do you want more peaches?" Clayton says "No" It begins. . .
His vocabulary is constantly growing although there are no sentences yet, and until today he seemed to mostly be just be repeating what he heard or naming what he saw. Like if  he sees a ball, he says ball. When he hears the train, he says "choo choo." Occasionally if he is bored he will go to the door and say "outside" as if to ask to go outside, but he's not insistent that he gets his way, yet.
Here's a list of his vocabulary, it's probably incomplete, but I'll try!
Dada
Mamma
Reese
no
shoes
go, or "let's go"
outside
ball
uh-oh
choo choo (as in a train)
vac (as in vacuum)
truck (sounds like cruck and I believe he is referring to wheels)
cracker
banana (except he pronounces it with out the B, and it's only two syllables)
wash
stuck (he uses this to tell me when he is stuck, or a toy he wants is stuck somewhere he can't reach)
Elmo (with out the "l" sound though)
jump
shh (to the cats when they meow or to Reese when he cries, because that's what we do!)
whoa, whoa
wee (when swinging or going down slides)
