Happy Halloween!

Our family costumes - football team, complete with a little football!

We carved pumpkins on Thursday evening after supper. Again, Reese didn't want to help scoop out the gunk. (Last year he wouldn't do it either). Silly guy!

I tried to get Wyatt into one, but the pumpkin was cold from being outside, and eating newspaper was really more what he wanted to do....

Friday at Preschool was Pajama day, so the boys dressed in their pumpkin pajamas!

Grandpa Mark and Grandma Dianne picked them up from school for fun, and took them to the marble museum and then out to lunch. They got to pick a few marbles and play hungry hippos there! (Still in PJs!)

We plan to go trick or treating around the neighbor hood tonight!

Tunnel Crawl

Wyatt really gets around well these days with his crawling. Nothing is safe! He pulls up on anything he can reach and had a few bumps and bruises on his face, but he is getting stronger and figuring out what works and what doesn't. He likes being able to crawl after Harvey to go play with him, and his brothers too of course!
Wyatt and Harvey sort of playing together one day last week
Uh oh - got caught grabbing paper off the end table!
And then tonight, he had a blast crawling through this tent tunnel with his big brothers. I was shocked he went through it since he's such a new crawler! He was fearless and and had a blast!!

The Big Birthday Party!

Clayton FINALLY got to go to his birthday party on Saturday! He says it was worth the wait. We shared with 3 of his cousins who also have October birthdays, Kobly was 15 at the beginning of the month, and twins Ava and Quin will be one October 20th. We had the big celebration in the gym at Emmanuel Lutheran School where we go to church. It was nice to have all the free space for the kids to run around in!

We had a bug themed party, and the kids that came got to start by making their own bug jar. There was pre-cut foam to decorate the jar but I wrongly assumed that the foam was self adhesive and we actually needed glue. Whoops. Then there plastic bugs and butterflies "hidden" all around in the gym for them to collect and keep as party favors.

When it was time for the cake and candles, we all sang happy birthday to them.

Eating the cake!

Ready to finally open his gifts.

Digging in!

A treasure hunting truck with a metal detector on it from Grandpa Mark and Grandma Dianne

A crane truck and a monster truck from Grandma and Papa Branz
He also got two differnent and fun remote control cars (which he is doing really well with) and a teenage ninja mutant turtle action figure that he has really enjoyed. He also got a bug hunting flashlight and gloves, a puzzle, card games and clothes that we have not tried out yet!

Wyatt loved the balloons!

8 Months Old!

Wyatt turned 8 months old on the 10th! At home he weighed about 17 lbs 9 oz and was 27 1/4 inches long. He finally started for real crawling yesterday! and is starting to get into things! The video was taken Sunday afternoon.

Harvest Time!

On Sunday, Oct. 4, the entire Branz family piled into a combine to help pick some beans out on the farm. Can you believe that all five of us fit in there? And Wyatt had his very first "combine nap"

Fifth Birthday Fun!

We had a very busy day celebrating Clayton's 5th birthday! We visited Harvey's party (he will be 1 year old on Monday) at lunch time, then headed to JK's Pumpkin Patch to meet with Aunt Amy, then drove back home and had supper at La Cocina. It is also Wyatt's 8 month birthday today!

Buried alive in the corn pit at JK's Pumpkin Patch!

Just a precious little face in the corn

Reese was buried too, with his toy combine he was playing with

I even let him sit in the corn for a while

Everyone had some refreshments before it was time to go
Here are my sad attempts at getting an "official" 8 month picture of Wyatt lol I will have to try again tomorrow!

But despite the lateness of the hour, we all still had a lot of fun at La Cocina for supper. They gave Clayton a Sombrero and some sopapilla and sang a version of Happy Birthday with maracas! It was great!
