Messy Prunes

Reese really enjoyed making a mess of some pureed prunes today during his lunch. He did eat most of them, but he wore a lot and painted his tray with them as well! You might notice that he has 4 teeth now! Three came in all at the same time! There are two on each the top and bottom.

3 Boys and a Box

The boys enjoyed some box time tonight! First Clayton and Reese had fun climbing in and out

Then Daddy joined in the fun

Where's Daddy?

Daddy are you stuck? I'll help you!
Boom! Daddy fell over!
Then Clayton and Reese had a lot of fun but I think that the box (and Daddy) are a little worse off for the wear!

Clayton knows Fast and Slow!

We had a fun evening with Grandpa Mark and Grandma Dianne on Friday. We were discussing how Clayton has such good timing when doing action songs so we decided to try a little experiment to see if Clayton would respond to tempo changes in Ring Around the Rosie. No big surprise but we didn't even have to teach him what to do! Then we asked him if wanted us to do it fast or slow, and he said "fast!" And he kept asking for more "fast." It was so cute! Even Reese got in there to dance a little too!

What? More Christmas Stuff?

Yes, that's right, I still have some to share!

We celebrated Christmas with Darrel's family on New Year's Eve. The boys got a lot of neat toys and clothes. Clayton made out with a couple of new trains, a dinosaur puzzle and an awesome big yellow dump truck. Reese got several shape sorters for Christmas and he has already become the master of the "Circle" The circle is the one he is the most likely to pick out and he will put it in its hole over and over again.

We tried to get another "Four Generations" picture with the men of the Branz family since we now have Reese to add.
See, remember this one? Just 7 days old here.
While everyone else took snapshot pictures I rolled my video camera since I had high doubts of the pictures turning out! For once Clayton did a good job and it was Reese not having it!

We forgot to take a picture with all three cousins so we tried to grab one the following Saturday when we were all able to get together for dinner. Notice Uncle Tyler off to the side in a coordinating plaid shirt like the boys!

I did end up with a cute impromptu one right before it was time to go:

Fun at Grandma's House

These are from a few days ago. I don't pull my camera out often enough when we're over there!

Too Cute To Wait

I have so many older pictures and videos that I have been working on that I should really get on here, but these are too cute to wait their turn!

First, we have Clayton devouring his pudding at lunch and not caring how dirty he gets while doing it!
That is how he pronounces "pudding" (Click on the picture to see it bigger)
This afternoon, while Clayton was still napping but Reese was up playing, I looked up from what I was doing and this is what I saw:

Big Boy Bed

Last night we changed Clayton's crib into a toddler/day bed. It converts by just removing the front piece. He climbs out of his crib so handily at this point I don't think it will make that big of a difference. We set it up with his brand new Lightning McQueen bed sheet sets (from Disney's movie Cars, one of his favs) last night which may have been a mistake to do it right before bed time because he was so excited about it. Even Reese was very excited! He did eventually go to sleep though, so we'll just keep seeing how it goes.

First, Clayton (and Reese I guess) "helped" daddy take the front piece off the crib.

Just a few Pictures to Brighten your Day

The rest are from Reese's 11 month photo shoot. Clayton seemed jealous so I snapped some of him as well.

Our Christmas Day part 2

Here is the rest of our Christmas Day activities!

The boys played nicely together with some of their new toys. This is a John Deere tractor from Great Grandpa and Grandma Branz. When you place each animal in it's designated spot it makes the animal's sound and the farmer goes in the driver's seat and it plays a little of "Old McDonald." It's a really fun toy that both boys enjoy!

The John Deere Tractor
Reese loves getting attention from Grandpa
And from Grandma too
Clayton of course was pretty tired from his late night and vegged out on the couch with Dad watching the Polar Express on Netflix
After an early-ish supper, we opened the rest of the presents
Reese got a shape sorter Double Decker bus

Clayton got a neat puzzle type thing with different latches and doors to open
And of course, Reese enjoyed climbing into boxes

Snuggling and reading with Mom
Before we left the next day, the boys got a tour of Grandma's little Christmas village from Grandpa

11 Months Old!

In one month Reese will be ONE! That is so crazy! He is walking all over the place, only crawling to a new place to pull himself up if he happens to fall. He is also climbing anything and everything he can. Reese has also mastered the temper tantrum! If you take away something he shouldn't have, he throws himself  backwards dramatically and screams bloody murder. His brother must be a really good teacher! We also had some issues at the grocery store this past week where he wanted to get down and walk! He must be working on a nap consolidation as well since his morning nap is getting later and harder. I was trying to hold off on that since it will be a rough few weeks to a month while he adjusts from two to just one. He is on track to have just one nap today though.

Oh, and apparently he was just saving up all his growing. He is now 19.2 lbs and is a little over 29 inches long (It's really hard to get a good length measurement because he is so squirmy!). Both of those measurements shoot him above the 15th per cent growth curve he had been following, on the 50th for height and maybe 20th or so for weight.

Speaking of squirmy, I had a lot of trouble getting a good picture of him today with his little "11 Months" tie! The sun is too bright in our living room due to the snow outside and so either Reese was good and the lighting or focus was bad, or Reese was not making a good face and the lighting was great. I couldn't win!
Lighting wise, this was the best picture! :(

Oh, he loves to use his pointer finger for things. He points to lots of stuff!
Reese wants YOU!

Don't worry, I'm still working on posting more Christmas pictures too! : )

Our Christmas Day part 1

Sorry it took me so long to post more, it's a busy time of year for sure! There are a lot of pictures, so I will post more than one part. Here is the 1st part of the day!

Our Christmas Day was spent with Grandpa Mark, Grandma Dianne and Aunt Amy at their house in Lincoln. The boys were very very tired from staying up so late the night before but they sure enjoyed their many gifts.

An Upside Down Reese

Goofy Clayton

First we opened stockings:

Then their BIG present from Grandpa and Grandma - A table and chairs. Reese would have been happy just climbing all over the boxes I think!

Too tired to rip any more paper I guess
Clayton loved to see how it was all put together:

Even Reese likes to sit in the chairs like a big boy:

In a box. Hi Reese!

Happy Baby!
Coloring with the new Aqua Doodle mat on the new table

Both boys even tried to color with some crayons. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that Reese knew just what to do with them!
