Last lake Weekend of the Summer

Good times!

Stopping at a rest area on the way out to feed the baby!

We hit the water right away when we got there! Here's the boys playing in the water at the little beach.

Wyatt was tuckered out... he took a nap on the beach

And a nap on the boat!!

Clayton caught a fish!

Reese ate the fish! He loved it!! Clayton said he wanted to eat the fish but lost his nerve. Reese at it all! We fried it in a little breading and I guess it was pretty good.

The next day, on the boat, the boys were a little tired and fell asleep!

Wyatt wanted to try the jet ski!

"Take me for a ride, big brother! Which button makes us go fast?!"

Mmmm... pancakes with peanut butter and maple syrup for breakfast!

Some Recent Pictures and Videos

I haven't been doing a very good job keeping the blog updated again... here's a barrage of random, but recent pictures and videos of the boys!

I realized that I posted the pictures but not the video of Wyatt and Clayton playing peek-a-boo! (July 11, at the lake)

From July 17 ~ The boys and I spent some time in the pool late afternoon. Wyatt sat in the pool with me for close to an hour before he wanted out! (The pool had been filled the day before and was as warm as bath water, we even had to add a little fresh water from the hose to cool it down).  Wyatt wanted to swim and play, and grab, and stand at the side... he was a busy little boy!

Clayton and Reese had a blast too!

Later that evening, Wyatt got a Mohawk in the bath!

From Sunday, July 19:
Wyatt hanging out with Daddy

Clayton and Reese love to listen to Papa's "fire calls." His phone doubles as his pager for the fire station. They can hear the dispatcher relay fire calls, medical calls, transfers, all kinds of stuff. They save as audio files on his phone for a while and the boys just love to listen to them!
Cupping their ears to hear it better!
From yesterday! (Phew, finally caught up!)

Wyatt was cute. . . (as always). He's starting to get a little more vocal and experiment with new sounds he can make.

And the boys played in the sprinkler after lunch. And Harvey (the little boy I watch for daycare ~ 9 months old now) got to play too!

Grandpa Mark's Birthday!

We had dinner with Grandpa Mark and Grandma Dianne and Aunt Amy last Sunday to celebrate Grandpa's birthday!

Reese really enjoyed his chocolate ice cream!

I wish I had taken some pictures of the boys with Grandpa.... But they did this instead!!

Some un-edited clips so you can hear their giggles of delight!

Unfortunately, the grass cut them up pretty good and they were pretty ouchy when they were done playing. The next version of the water slide will be better!!

I think Grandpa had a very fun birthday!!!

Long Lake Weekend!

Last weekend we were at Johnson Lake (Thursday through Sunday). We were there with Grandma and Papa Branz and the 5 of us. It was a great time!  Here's all the pictures we have:

Wyatt and Mommy visited the dock right away!

Wyatt helped daddy grill our supper

We stayed up really late the first night and had a nice campfire and roasted "smarshmellows" (as Clayton calls them), and he ate two whole S'mores!!

Everyone was tuckered out already after the first 1/2 day

Even Wyatt!
 Learning to fish:

Ready to help carry a bag to the boat for the summer's first boat ride

Clayton playing peek-a-boo with Wyatt. . . I'm not sure who had more fun, Clayton or Wyatt!

Wyatt's first boat ride!

Family boat ride!
We went to the beach after this, and the boys played in the "waves" and built sandcastles. Reese has no fear of the water and had a blast in the inflatable boat we had for them. Clayton was a little more cautious and slow to warm up to fun in the water, and was happy to just build with the sand.

Reese was also a crazy man on the jet ski, and would grab Daddy's hands to push the throttle down harder to go faster. He said he would be going about 15 mph and Reese would still be demanding more speed! Clayton enjoyed the jet ski, but I think he prefers the boat.

By Sunday afternoon the boys were tired and ready to go home. They did a great job listening and staying safe for the most part and we all really enjoyed ourselves! We can't wait to go back next weekend!

5 Months old at The Lake

Wyatt officially turned 5 months old on Friday while we were on vacation at Johnson Lake with Grandma and Papa! When I weighed him today he was still 15.5 lbs (same as last month), but a 1/4 of an inch longer, so 25.5 inches long. He must have had a big growth spurt right before that last check up!

Clayton doing "This Little Piggie"

Wyatt's happy noises here I think mean "I'm happy to be 5 months old at the lake!"
