First Snow Day!!

A 2 hour late start for York Public schools = no morning preschool today. So the boys are enjoying the first snow day of the year! It was just a dusting and still gently falling, so beautiful!

They helped daddy scoop the neighbors' driveway before he has to go to work.

I heard a lot of commotion in the garage and go out to see that they had found the sled and were trying to get it outside. Hopefully they took turns! (Can you see them heading around the shed, I took this one through a window!)

They had to come inside when Reese ended up with a bloody nose somehow. He was more upset that he got blood on the snow than anything else! But mommy got them cleaned up and they enjoyed some hot chocolate! Then they cuddled up on the couch watching the Polar Express!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Whoops, I'm a little late.... here are Clayton and Reese wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving (a day or two  late) while wearing the super cute turkey hats they made at preschool. On the hats, their teachers helped them write the things they were most thankful for.

Clayton's: hands, playdough, turkeys, Mommy, Daddy, brothers, doors, fields, tables, Grandma, Papa, fireflies, farming and combine

Reese's: painting a picture, Mom, taking out recycling, rolling a ball

Clayton's Coloring

Sometime during the 2nd week of November, Clayton was talking to mommy about the farm (again), and he had already talked my ear off for almost 10 solid min. so I pulled out some paper and Crayons and said "Why don't you draw pictures of all these things, then you can give them to Papa for his birthday later this week." That was a good activity, he drew about half a dozen pictures of everything he was telling me about. The first one was really good, he was climbing up the ladder of a recognizable combine, and Papa was on top putting in oil, and even Reese and Daddy were pictured.

Another one he drew was of a semi truck trailer being loaded with corn. He really got into that one! So expressive!!

Wyatt's 9.5 months old now...

This post is about a week over due! Whoops!

Wyatt's check up last Friday went just fine. He's growing great and hitting the milestones he's supposed to be. He weighed 17 1/4 lbs and was 28 1/4 inches long.

Here are somethings he's been up to in the past couple of weeks.

Wyatt thought he would see what was the deal with "going to the corner" all the time and went to see what it was all about over there!
Baby time out??

Driving with Daddy! (Car was parked)

Sitting with his best buddy Harvey!

Look at those big boys!

Oh no! He found the cupboards!

9 Months Old!

Wyatt is 9 months old today! He loves to crawl around and pull up on furniture. He's been eating a lot lately so I think a growth spurt is coming soon! His check up is on Friday so we will get a measurement then. No signs of trying to stand or walk alone yet.

He's very sweet and loves to give mommy kisses. and the dog at Grandma and Papa's house too! He gave her some kisses when were there this past Saturday.

Also taking place last Saturday was a visit to the family farm for dinner with family. As per tradtion, Wyatt sat in the old high chair that his brothers, his Daddy, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa and Great-Great Grandpa all sat in!

New Stroller

It's Amazing that the third baby gets a new stroller, but the nice strollers we have were either just a frame for the infant carseat or the double stroller. Well that won't work! So Wyatt and I tried out the new stroller yesterday afternoon on a little walk through the neighborhood. We even saw the local turkeys on the way home!

Wyatt Found the Doorstop!

This was from last Sunday and I keep forgetting to get it up. I'm so glad I had the gate up when I heard that sound from behind me!! He no longer stays in the living room or with us, he's all over the place!

And here's a picture of him last night before bed, just being cute in some Christmas pajamas! (Don't judge, it was the only clean pair that fit, and it's also entirely possible that these will no longer fit him by Christmas!)

Hard Work on the Farm

The past few weekends (and even one Friday that the boys didn't have school and Daddy took the day off), Clayton and Reese have been working hard out on the farm helping Daddy and Papa harvest all the soy beans and corn. I've had a few pictures sent to me, so I should share them here!

I'm not sure what they did to get so dirty here, but there were a mess!! haha

And here they are helping (I guess?) Daddy clear the leaves from the driveway!

We usually have supper with Grandma and Papa when they get home. Wyatt likes to relax with Papa then.

Fall Leaves!

The leaves have started to drop more in the backyard, so we enjoyed some fall, leaf pile fun this afternoon.

Clayton and Reese jumping in the pile with Harvey

Wyatt being cute!
I sort of One, Two Threeee, tossed/set Wyatt down in the leaf pile to see what he would do. He sort of just laid there like that for a while looking confused. . . like "What happened to me? What is all this??"

After a while he started turning and reaching for the leaves, to examine what was going on.

He eventually rolled over and sat up, and crawled around. I was so proud of him, he didn't even eat a leaf today! (He has a bad habit of eating things like dried leaves, used Kleenex, bits of foil lids, my shopping lists, etc. and then gagging on them and eventually throwing up. Argh).

Meanwhile, Clayton and Reese made a train! They loaded up the cars (chairs) with coal (leaves) and Reese drove while Clayton relaxed in the apparent dinning car.

Later in the afternoon, Harvey and Wyatt enjoyed a wagon ride together. Wyatt really loves Harvey; they are best buds!
