Fun with Daddy
We had fun playing together last night after supper! Daddy had a little scrape on his hand and the boys were very interested in Daddy's owie that he he had. They were told not to touch it. When they did touch it (duh) Daddy would said 'OW' and pull his hand away. Apparently that was hysterically funny!

McQueen & Mater!
We got some Lightning McQueen and Mater wall decals for the boys for Christmas and just now got them put up on the walls, Aunt Amy helped when she came to celebrate her birthday with us last Saturday. Clayton wanted to get right in there and help!
We tired really hard to get the boys to take a picture in front of them with her, but by then it was way past bedtime and they refused! But their room looks nice now!

Mommy and Reese, well Clayton too
Well these are older than I thought, from last Thursday, Jan 23. I guess I realized January is almost over and I've hardly taken any pictures or videos!
Clayton's pictures, I can never seem to pick just one. Each expression is always unique. Where does all that cheese come from anyway!? hahaha

Bears in the Night
Clayton can do a pretty good job of "reading" (he has it memorized obviously) a book called "Bears in the Night." It's a very simple book that has 2 to 3 word sentences that describe how the bears go out, down over, around, under, through and up obstacles to find out where the "whoooo" sound they heard came from. When they finally reach the top of Spook Hill, they see an Owl who made the noise and run back through the way they came (going down instead of up, etc.). I think the funniest part is that I remember doing the exact same thing with this very book (it's even my copy!), thinking I could read it when I really just had it memorized. Clayton will actually get up upset if Daddy or Mommy reads the book now... "No! Clayton read it!"

Bye Bye Binky!
The binky has been Clayton's best friend since he was a baby, but it's time to say goodbye. He finally chewed a hole (he has mostly just been gnawing on them for a while now) in the last one on Sunday and we had to throw it in the trash. Since he chews so hard on them and is almost 3 1/2 we opted to not buy anymore and go cold turkey. Sunday night was a little rough but not as bad as I expected. He kept asking me to "get the odder binky," but I think he finally understood there were no more. We even said a prayer that he repeated phrase by phrase, asking Jesus to help him fall asleep with out it. After he fell asleep he had a bad dream which ended in him crying because he wanted chocolate pudding, and he eventually ended up in bed with us. But each night is better and better, he falls asleep with out any crying and has stayed in his bed all night. Nap time each day has been a breeze, much to my surprise. I guess he was just ready!
We do have a sort of substitute, the penguin that plays soft, soothing music has been brought back (and put on an out-of-reach self) and Clayton has been looking forward to it at each nap and bed time; "sing songs on penguin" he says. The biggest benefit of no pacifier in his mouth so far, is that he has been singing along with me when I sing their bed time song (Baby Mine from Dumbo).

Fun in the Snow
We spent a few minutes in the snow on Wednesday morning. It was still snowing so I thought it would be a fun experience for them. We were out just long enough for me to get the driveway scooped and then Reese had had enough! He doesn't really like the the cold!

Thieszen Family Christmas 2014
I am cleaning up some things I found saved in my draft folder - I started working on the and never finished. I can now 'backdate' the posts, too, so it won't seem so ridiculous!
I'm not sure how I missed ever posting about our time with Grandma Dianne's side of the family, but with we celebrated with this fun group on Saturday, Dec. 27th., 2014
The boys' favorite present was probably these bouncy animals! Little cousin Delaney was sure in awe of these rambunctious boys!
Their little (2nd) cousin Delaney got a tea set and the boys had fun playing with it too!
