Last Day of Preschool!

Clayton and Reese had their last day of pre-school on Tuesday, May 17. They each had a little graduation program, and cookies and juice afterwards. Grandpa Mark and Grandma Dianne were both able to come watch. Reese will go back to pre-school for one more year, but Clayton will be moving on to Kindergarten, and he is SO ready! As we were leaving, I asked him if he would be sad not to come back to his preschool room again and he said "No, I'm happy! I don't want to be in preschool anymore, I want to go to Kindergarten!" Ok, he's ready!

Reese's class was first; they sang an Alphabet song where they had a 'friend' for each letter "Ali, alligator, ah ah ah, Ali Aligator, A A A" And so on for each letter, and hand actions too. The video has a little snippet of that song (it was long) and then their favorite "Penguin" song. Not the whole thing, just the beginning and then the last two verses. Reese did a great job!!

Reese won the award for excelling in all subject areas!

Reese with his teacher Mrs. Ecklund, I think he will have her again next year too!

Harvey was a trooper and sat pretty well with Darrel for both boys' programs

Clayton's class was next. They sang a "Welcome to Preschool" song as well as an alphabet song similar to the one Reese's class sang. Next year, Clayton will be joining his fellow classmates in Kindergarten, the Class of 2029!

Wyatt and Harvey enjoying cookies like big boys in Clayton's preschool classroom!

After that, we played in the park (and got pretty wet on the slides) and then went to Wendy's for lunch. The 1 year old were tired of course and went down for a nap right away, but Clayton and Reese got to enjoy a little "graduation present" from Grandpa and Grandma; this really neat water table! It's like a little canal with boats and a truck (it's supposed to also hold sand, but I think small rocks would be less mess, I'm still working on that).  They boys really enjoy turning the paddle that causes the water to flow and the boats to go round and round. It's a fun toy!
